Mission
The Do Like Raleigh Roo Foundation 501(c)(3) non-profit charity aims to provide support and financial assistance to animal rescues and families whose beloved animals face physical limitations due to special needs through fundraising events, vet service assistance, assistive devices costs, and care packages.
We strive to make the world a brighter place by bringing to light the perseverance, second chances, love, and joy that radiate from our community’s imperfectly perfect specially-abled heroes.
The Do Like Raleigh Roo Foundation is inspired by the notorious rescued tripawd himself, Raleigh Roo. At only a few months of age, Raleigh was adopted out of the shelter and then returned with broken legs. Healed in place, one leg needed to be amputated straightaway and the other re-constructed a few years later. (Check him out here!)
Unphased by these adversities, his insurmountable resilience, unbound zest for life, and love for all things happiness will forever be the legacy of this foundation. With a passion for supporting the dog community, we wanted to spotlight that the imperfections of special needs animals are exactly what make them as perfect as they are. We've learned there can be added hardships with special needs individuals. We want to help alleviate them and also make homeless special needs animals more adoptable, because they are all worth every one.
Like all specially-abled animals, Raleigh inspires every day, creates smiles wherever he goes, and reminds us about perseverance and truly living every day to the fullest - the root inspiration of this endeavor.

It may not seem like a lot, but it is the world for some of these animals.
Established in April of 2025, we cannot quite put into words everything Do Like Raleigh Roo Foundation’s inaugural year has held for us. We have had the privilege of meeting, helping, and loving so many incredible and inspiring special needs animals. It has crossed our path with so many kind souls and created a community that is so full of support & joy.
Thank you to all of our supporters, rescue partners, & donors. Without you, we couldn’t do what we do. Together, we changed lives and we don’t plan on stopping any time soon.
