Stubby is a green sea turtle that survived severe injuries from monofilament fishing line entanglement, leaving both of her front flippers missing.

Though Stubby’s wounds healed, she is unable to naturally dive to forage for food and has had to adapt to her mobility. Regardless, she is extremely friendly and is known to be the greeter of anyone who approaches her habitat!

Stubby has been rescued, deemed non-releasable by the government, and is now a permanent resident at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Clearwater, Florida.

The Do Like Raleigh Roo Foundation has provided funds to help supplement the best quality care and husbandry required for Stubby and her fellow resident habitat mates.
