Meet Starfish, a 12 week old puppy with swimmer puppy syndrome, a condition that leaves his legs splayed out to the sides, making it impossible for him to stand or walk normally.

Since arriving at the shelter at the end of July, he's received daily physical therapy, taping to help keep his legs positioned beneath his body, & strengthening exercises from our incredible friends at Runaways Animal Rescue. With these dedicated combined efforts of Animal Services, Runaways Animal Rescue, his foster, & lots of patience and love, Starfish is now able to walk on his own on tile without carpets for traction, play with other dogs, and radiate his giant personality through it all!

We had the privilege of sponsoring his adoption fee as well as contributing funds to help continue his rehabilitation, and within just one short week, we got the news he found his forever home.

Starfish, congratulations on conquering the odds and finding your family in the process. We can't wait to see where those little legs take you!
